If you haven't added music to your flyer, you will be able to specify how the signal goes to the effects through a curve.
This curve can be edited dragging with your mouse its control points. You can also change the speed of the signal selecting one of the available options.

For more complex results you can add music to your flyer, so that you will be able to use various properties of the soundtrack as signal for the effects. For more info see this tutorial.
